CEO Dave Osborn Awarded Highest Telephony Honor
Our very own Valley Telephone Cooperative, Inc. (VTCI) Chief Executive Officer, Dave Osborn was awarded the Texas Telephone Association’s Neville Haynes award at the 108th Annual Convention at The Westin La Cantera Hill Country Resort. Mr. Osborn’s award was in recognition of exceptional contributions to the Texas Telephone Association and the telephone industry. The Award has been presented to outstanding individuals who demonstrate the qualities of service and leadership exemplified by the late Neville Haynes, Chief Executive Officer of Big Bend Telephone Company. The Neville Haynes Award was first presented in 1985, and since its inception, leaders from the Texas telephone industry have been acknowledged for their efforts to build and operate a world class broadband telephone company.
Mr. Osborn is a member of the Texas Telephone Association’s Board of Directors and he serves on the Legislative Steering Committee. In addition to his corporate governance, Mr. Osborn is Director and an Executive Committee member of the Houston Chapter of the Better Business Bureau and a Director for the Texas Lone Star Network, a consortium of independent telecommunication companies in Texas that provide transport services to carrier and enterprise accounts. He is an active member of the National Telephone Cooperative Association – The Rural Broadband Association and the Western Telecommunications Alliance. Mr. Osborn is also a participating member of Vistage International, Inc., a CEO Peer Review and Network Group and is a frequent speaker at industry conferences and events in telephony, wireless internet, IP Television, fiber optic transport and international transport to/from Mexico.
